The Writer's Trust Award is one of the largest literary prize-giving events in the country, now annually awarding $155,000 to Canadian writers. In a special event new to its lineup this year, IFOA is proud to present the authors nominated for the Rogers Writer's Trust Fiction Prize - one of the fall's big three Canadian fiction prizes. Past winner include Lawrence Hill (The Book of Negroes) and Joseph Boyden (Three Day road). The shortlist for the Fiction Prize will be announced on October 1. Winners will be announced on November 17.
